Strong 1.0 released!

Whew, it’s been a long time since I posted last! I’ve been slogging away on a new app, and I’m delighted to announce that Strong is now available on the App Store.

Strong is a fitness/gym app, and it is available on the App Store right now. You can read more about it here! Strong is a more minimal approach to the workout apps currently available on the App Store, and is designed for ease of use and simplicity above all else.

The regular price of Strong is $2.99, but it’s available for a limited time for just 99 cents!

It’s been a long time in coming, and it took me a while to finish. Hopefully the next app won’t take nearly as long! Thanks for everyone’s patience, and I hope to get some more updates up soon as well!

1.1.1

I had to rush out a quick update to Task Timer to fix a problem on ‘older’ iOS devices that aren’t capable of multitasking.

I’m glad that the wait wasn’t too long, and that users enjoy the new sounds and local notifications available with the 1.1 release!

It’s now time to look forwards to 1.2!

Task Timer 1.1 released!

The 1.1 update to Task Timer has been released!

The main feature is the Local Notification system for iOS multitasking capable devices, which allows Task Timer to pop up a dialog when the time is elapsed, even when in other apps.

There were also some updates to the alert sounds - the new sounds are really beautiful, and really enhance the user experience.

Unfortunately with this update, I accidentally created a major bug for non multitasking capable devices, which means iPod touch 2G and lower, and iPhone 3G and lower. I’ll work hard to resolve this as soon as possible.

Although this is obviously my responsibility as a developer, I’m surprised how something like this got past the App Store approval process. It’s frustrating because the one week on average turnaround between updates means that something small like this can disrupt sales and possibly result in negative reviews, yet I’m powerless to do anything until Apple approve an update.

In the meantime, I hope iOS 4 users really enjoy the new update to Task Timer.

Rolling On

The 1.0.1 version of Task Timer was released today.

The main update was some improvements to the battery life, made by making the drawing algorithm more efficient.

Also, Task Timer now sleeps when on static screens, improving battery life further.

Hope you enjoy the update - version 1.1 will be arriving soon!

Distracted…

Oh my, I could do with a nice 27” inch Cinema Display to do coding on…

But then that wouldn’t work with my existing MacBook, so I’d need to get a new MacBook Pro too… or an iMac, or a Mac mini… anything would do, I guess, so long as it’s new and shiny.

That’s the way Apple works, isn’t it?

Spruced Up!

I changed the colour scheme of the blog to make it a little more fitting to the colours used in Task Timer. It’s a bit of a chore to make subtle changes to the shades of grey, but I think I got it about right here.

I really like the designs of Tumblr as a whole compared to other blogging platforms.

Now if only I could easily add a sidebar…

Screenshot Shenanigans

Hehe, for a company that does so many great things with design, the screenshot upload process on the iTunes Connect website is a nightmare to deal with.

It seems like screenshots are arranged in a seemingly random order, a frustrating experience compounded by the fact that it takes a few more hours for the screenshots to be pushed to the server.

I’ve looked at some instructions online, but it’s still very much a stab in the dark - I’ve screwed it up three times already!

I hope it comes out right this time!

We are Go…

Task Timer is now live on the App Store!

It’s been a long wait, but it’s all been worth it. Downloads have begun to trickle in, and I hope that people are enjoying greater productivity as a result!

Lots of additional features will be coming soon to make Task Timer even slicker, but for the time being, it’s great that Task Timer has been approved and is available for download!

If you haven’t downloaded yet, give it a try. It’s available now for the low (introductory) price of 99 cents!
